The
Washington State History Museum is one of the premiere visitor experiences
in the Pacific Northwest of the US. It uses a wide variety of techniques
to bring the hsitory and cultural of Washington to its residents
and visitors. |

Encyclopedia Washingtonia On the wall high above the visitors is a huge map with many numbered markers. A video camera sweeps the map and visitors at a dozen computer terminals can punch in number to see the information associated with those markers, geographically tapping the musueum's fabulous photo database. |

Natural Wonders Projected on a ten foot diagonal table top, these series of 2D animations depict the geologic growth of the state of Washington from a time when it was mostly covered by ocean tot he present. |

Electronic Journals Seven interactive journals in various exhibits give the visitor a chance to "drill down" into the museum's photographic collection. |

Conversations With interviews filmed by filmed by Larry Johnson this laserdisc application allows the visitor to explore the cultural history of some 50 Washington residents. |
